I've been unable to blog my 1969 replay recently because of issues with SOM V16 and blogger.com. Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon. Trying a round about way here to give an update: The Baltimore Orioles have been on a hot streak lately and have won 11 games in a row. The Detroit Tigers are in second place 5.5 games behind.

Dave Boswell pitched 8 strong innings as the Minnesota Twins topped the
Chicago White Sox by a score of 3 to 1 at Comiskey Park.
Boswell(2-2) put on a good performance. He surrendered only 2 hits and 2
walks in 8 innings lowering his ERA from 3.27 to 2.70. Chicago went down
quietly in the bottom of the 9th.
Bob Miller gained credit for his 1st save. Gary Peters(2-2) was the losing
pitcher. He surrendered 8 hits and 1 walk in 6 innings.

Mike Marshall held Oakland scoreless on just 3 hits at Sicks Stadium where the
Seattle Pilots beat the Oakland Athletics by the score of 4 to

Marshall(1-3) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Oakland offense. He
didn't give up much, just 3 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Seattle managed 8
hits in their victory.
Rollie Fingers(0-2) was the loser. He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 5 innings.

In a good matchup it was the Washington Senators 5, the Cleveland Indians 2 at
Municipal Stadium.
Frank Bertaina(1-1) pitched a solid game. He went 7 innings and surrended up
5 hits and 1 walk. Washington managed only 4 hits on the afternoon.
Bob Humphreys recorded the save, his 2nd. Stan Williams(0-4) was tagged with
the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 3 hits in 8 innings.

Tom Murphy blanked Kansas City in a very well-pitched complete game at
Municipal Stadium as the California Angels beat the Kansas City Royals 6 to
0.
Murphy(1-1) had a strong outing. He allowed just 8 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings lowering his ERA to 1.45. California had a total of 9 hits for the
game.
The loss was charged to Wally Bunker(2-2). He was touched for 9 hits and 3
walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.

Right fielder Frank Robinson rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the sizzling
Baltimore Orioles defeated the New York Yankees by a score of 5 to 2 at
Memorial Stadium.
Robinson made sure the Baltimore fans enjoyed themselves. He popped a two-run
clout over the fence in the 5th inning and hit a bases-empty home run in the
7th inning. New York had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
The victory went to Mike Cuellar(4-0) who went 8 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2
runs. Dick Hall earned the save, his 1st. Stan Bahnsen(2-3) suffered the
loss. He gave up 7 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
With the win, Baltimore continues their noteworthy winning streak.
