Alvin Davis ripped 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Seattle Mariners defeated
the Minnesota Twins 8 to 6 at The Kingdome.

Davis was a one-man wrecking crew. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd inning and cleared the fences for a
two-run home run in the 5th inning. It was roller coaster of a game as the
lead change hands 6 times.

Lee Guetterman(7-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and
allowing 6 runs. Ed Nunez earned his 6th save. Mike Smithson(4-2) was
charged with the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 7 innings.

'I was really seeing the ball today,' Davis said 'I wish it was always this
easy.'
