Chicago defeated the New York Yankees in the ALDS 3 games to 2, and then the Texas Rangers 4 games to 2 in the ALCS to advance to the World Series. Philadelphia is returning to the WS after winning it all last year. The Phillies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3 games to 1 in the NLDS and then swept the San Francisco Giants in 4 games in the NLCS. |
