July 13, 1987

After resuming my asplayed 1987 replay the NL has reached the All Star break.
In the NL East the St. Louis Cardinals have conitnued their torid pace and are 30 games over .500. The Cards hold a comfortable 9 game lead over 2nd place Chicago. The Montreal Expos are REALLY under-perfoming their actual season play and find themselves in last place, 23 games behind the Cardinals.
In the NL West the Cincinnati Reds coninue to play sound baseball and hold a 6 game lead over 2nd place San Francisco.
