Toronto Blue Jays beat the California Angels by a score of 11 to 2.
Bell had a great day at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his every move.
He clubbed a solo home run in the 2nd inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'
in the 4th inning and hit a bases-empty home run in the 8th inning. Toronto
banged out 11 hits on the afternoon.
Dave Stieb(16-7) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Jerry
Reuss(2-8) was tagged with the loss. He surrendered 6 runs and 5 hits in 1
inning.
Toronto now has a record of 81-52. With this loss, California has a 4-6
record of late, 64-70 overall.
