Alan Trammell rocketed 3 homeruns and had 8 RBI at Anaheim Stadium where the
Detroit Tigers beat the California Angels by the score of 10 to 5.

Trammell provided much of the offense. He lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the
1st inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 2nd inning, hit
a bases-empty home run in the 4th inning and doubled bringing home two
baserunners in the 6th inning. Detroit finished with 13 hits while
California ended up with 5.

Dan Petry(3-1) got the win allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Don Sutton(3-1) was
charged with the loss. He surrended 4 homeruns in his 2 innings.

'I had good swings tonight,' Trammell said, 'Everything felt right'.
