August 29, 1969 Chi. at Atl.




Bill Hands (20-9) of the Chicago Cubs became MLB's first 20 game winner of the 1969 season. He threw a complete game while defeating the Atlanta Braves 6-3. Hank Aaron hit his 49th homerun in a losing effort for the hometown Braves.

The win went to Hands(20-9) who allowed 3 runs in the game. The losing pitcher
