The Baltimore Orioles crushed the Detroit Tigers tonight 14-4 while winning their 3rd straight of this 4 game series. The Orioles jumped all over Tiger starter Mickey Lolich in the 1st inning and before it was over they'd pushed 8 runs across the plate. Jim Palmer went the distance for the Orioles and picked up his 14th win of the season. Baltimore increased their division lead over Detroit to 6.5 games with the victory. |

said. 'As the game went along I started to get the feeling that I was going
to strike out a bunch of hitters.'
