Bal. at Det. September 4, 1969




The Baltimore Orioles came into Detroit for a big 4 game series against the 2nd place Tigers, flexed their muscles and won the 1st game 8-3. The Robinson's hit a pair of 2-run homers in the 1st inning off Detroit starter Earl Wilson and the Orioles sailed on to an easy victory. Boog Powell hit a 2-run blast in the 3rd, his 30th of the year and Frank Robinson added another homerun in the 5th allowing Tom Phoebus to pick up his 14th win of the season.

Frank Robinson rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the phenomenal Baltimore
