WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Dave Concepcion robbed Tom Brookens of a base hit.

Dave Concepcion had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds came back to
win one over Detroit Tigers, 7 to 2.

Cincinnati erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning when they
tallied 6 runs on 5 hits. The key at-bat was by Concepcion who quieted the
crowd when he doubled with all three runners coming home. Cincinnati totaled
13 hits on the night.

The victory went to Rob Murphy(1-0) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs.
Doyle Alexander(0-1) was charged with the loss. 'The only way this one could
have been better', said Murphy, 'was if we had played it at home.'
